Newly launched premium corduroy brand The Cords and Co has announced that it will celebrate Corduroy Appreciation Day on November 11 with special promotions.
As part of its strategy to make corduroy the alternative to denim, The Cords and Co will give their first 100 customers in each flagship store the opportunity to trade in their old denims for a pair of brand new cords, for free on November 11.
The brand is also celebrating online with customers buying cords on the annual celebration day for cords receiving a special gift with every online purchase made during that day.
“The Cords and Co’s mission is define corduroy as the alternative to denim, so felt natural for us to give customers a possibility to trade in their old denim jeans, for a new pair of cords during the global celebration of ‘Corduroy Appreciation Day’ on November 11,” said Omar Varts, chief executive of The Cords and Co. “We are the world’s first corduroy brand so we wanted to present our customers with something special to make the occasion.”
The Cords and Co launched globally on August 24 and has since opened five stores in London, Paris, Stockholm and Los Angeles, as well as a global online shop. The brand has also collaborated with wholesale partners in nearly 20 markets.
