American label Cotton Citizen, which designs and manufacturers its clothing in its privately-owned factory in Los Angeles, is set to enter the UK market by launching in Selfridges next month.

The premium denim brand, which has become a celebrity favourite of Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid and Hailey Baldwin due to its signature hand-dyed treatments, will launch in Selfridges on Oxford Street, London in February, ahead of launching in Ireland with Brown Thomas in March.

“The UK market is highly important for the brand growth, as it exposes us to a new customer base which is very much an international consumer,” Adam Vanunu, founder and creative director of Cotton Citizen told FashionUnited.

There are three drops going into Selfridges, the first landing at the end of February and includes items such as T-shirts, denim jackets, jeans, hoodies, and tracksuits, in various colours washes including fuschia, white and black.

Prices will range from 70 pounds for the crew neck T-shirts up to 347 pounds for its crop denim jacket.

Cotton Citizen, which has a flagship on Melrose Place in Los Angeles, has been growing internationally for incorporating only the finest fabrics with signature hand-dyed treatments, as well as its ability to closely focus on detailed applications to enhance the longevity of each product. The idea is that they keep quality at its prime, “as a result, each piece is as unique as the citizen who wears it,” explains the brand.
