Next year London will sparkle with the capital's jewellery talent at the second Coutts London Jewellery Week from 8th and 14th June 2009. Following the success of 2008, Jewellery Week 2009 will unite leading names and cutting-edge talent, celebrating the passion, style and inspiration behind London's jewellery. "Discovering London's hidden gems" will be the essence of the Week in 2009. Early ideas for celebrating the Week include a consumer exhibition, a treasure trail for visitors across the capital and a catwalk show; and a launch event hosted by title sponsors Coutts.

The first Coutts London Jewellery Week organised by the City Fringe Partnership with funding from the London Development Agency took place in June 2008 and featured events including Swarovski's Runway Rocks, the Elizabeth Street Carnival, jewellery-making classes at Clare Aristides, seminars at Holts Academy and open studios at Cockpit Arts. In its inaugural year over six hundred jewellers were represented during the Week with 180 events throughout London from open studios to exhibitions; catwalk shows to collection launches; seminars and workshops.

2008 attracted a number of high profile attendees including Theo Fennell, Laurence Graff, Holly Willoughby, Sir Terence Conran, Philip Treacey, Stephen Webster, Jaime Winstone, Rosamund Pike and Ozwald Boateng.
