Dot to Dot London recently opened the UK's SS16 children's tradeshow season at the Vinyl Factory in Soho with 30 movers and shakers providing a wonderful mix of collections you'd happily remortgage your home for.

With minimalist designs from Nor-Folk, clashing prints and patterns as seen at Lucypeahslice, through to retro magic from Mr Uky, and colourful plush toys from Noodoll, the event offered the freshest edit of soon-to-explode labels alongside more established names.

The new season goodies were viewed by stores and press including Selfridges, Harrods, John Lewis, the Conran Shop, This Modern Life, Kidsen, Olive Loves Alfie, Wee Department Store, Yellow Lolly, Bubble Chops, the Telegraph, Grazia, Selvedge, Smudgetikka, Bambino Goodies, Little Revolution, Kidswear, Smallish, Baby London and many more.

Ashlyn Gibson, owner of indie store Olives Loves Alfie said, ''Dot to Dot is a spirited independent show that got our buying season off to a flying start. Beautifully curated, it represents the creative end of the childrenswear market. It's an essential reference point for buyers looking for dynamic and inspirational brands.''

The SS16 edition saw 20 all-new labels as well as the introduction of five international brands - Papu, Mr Uky, Papilladefruta, Nuuba&theGang – On the Beach and Petits Tresors. Yonca Muslubas, founder of Nuuba&theGang – On the Beach commented, ''Dot to Dot London is a great place to be, especially for new and emerging independent brands to be seen and heard. It's a very exclusive event where you get the chance to meet the best press and opinion leaders, and buyers who are excited about exploring fresh brands and new perspectives.”

First time exhibitor Louisa Rowland, creative director at ABC123me added, ''Dot to Dot was a really friendly and supportive community-minded experience from start to finish. We met some fantastic shops and took some great orders. It was a really really positive experience and we wouldn’t think twice about coming back.''

There'll be more fun, design and discoveries for AW16 on 31 January – 1 February 2016 at the Vinyl Factory.
