Dot to Dot SS17: A summer smasher

Dot to Dot London promised its SS17 edition would be its biggest and best and it certainly was! The sixth edition had just shy of 60 of the most exciting children's brands from the UK, Europe, Middle East and the US, and a massive 144% more buyers and press compared to last summer – crack open the fizz!

Seriously coveted designs came in all shapes and sizes - think inspired apparel, teeny tiny footwear with intricate details, innovative ideas for creative play time, top quality accessories for parents and kiddies, exquisite bedding, divine interiors, directional designs, classic forever pieces – SS17 had it all!

Sharon Wallace, Editor at Design Mum also had a blast, ''I finally managed to make my first visit to Dot to Dot event and I was not disappointed. The talent on show was off the scale!'' Yonca Muslubaş, Designer at My Nuuba added, ''Being among all these cherry-picked independent designers, opinion leaders, savvy trade and press members really did support and shift our business to the next level. The Dot to Dot Awards celebrated the brains behind the brands with rosettes presented to ABC123me for Best Fashion Brand, bedding company Forivor was awarded Best Non-Clothing Brand and accessories label Little Hotdog Watson received the Best Newcomer prize. Tootsa MacGinty will jet off to sunny Spain for the AW17 edition of tradeshow Little, after being selected as its Brands Competition winner.

Peppe Orru, Contributing Fashion Editor at Collezioni and one of the judges of the awards had high praise for the exhibitors, ''I found several emerging talents debuting truly original and unique collections and there were many other designers with something new and interesting to offer.''

Dot to Dot and its army of fabulous brands will be back on 22-23 January for AW17 at the Vinyl Factory with another heady mix of design, creativity and collaborations.
