Actress Drew Barrymore has launched a new fashion and lifestyle line called Dear Drew, described as a "love letter to women around the world” on Amazon Fashion.
The contemporary collection includes apparel, handbags, luggage, jewellery, lingerie, accessories and hair tools, and is already being compared to Reese Witherspoon's Draper James line, in terms of price point, as it ranges from 28 to 248 dollars.
"We're delighted to be teaming up with Drew Barrymore to debut her new brand on Amazon Fashion," said Amazon Fashion director Kate Dimmock. "Drew's impressive career and creative energy is an inspiration, and we're thrilled to be able to offer our customers a collection that embodies her.”
Highlights from the clothing collection, which spans tops, dresses, trousers, and outerwear includes a multi-print floral maxi dress for 248 dollars, a tie-front skirt that comes in two different colour ways for 128 dollars, and a metallic pleated skirt printed with Claude Monet's famous quote, "I perhaps owe having become a painter to flowers" for 108 dollars that comes in silver and gold.
For the accessories, the heart shape, which features in the Dear Drew by Drew Barrymore logo, plays a prominent role, from a heart-shaped ‘I Heart NY’ crossbody bag for 95 dollars, to the heart clasp featured on a number of other designs.
The collection also includes a number of hair tools from a blush coloured hairdryer to straighteners and a ceramic curling iron, ranging from 50 to 168.30 dollars.
Barrymore’s lifestyle line joins her successful cosmetics range, ‘Flower Beauty’ which she launched in 2013 that features make-up, fragrances, beauty tools and accessories, and is sold exclusively at Wal-Mart stores and flowerbeauty.com.
