High street footwear brand Dune London has launched a designer collaboration with Rupert Sanderson, known for being a favourite of Duchess of Cambridge and Gwyneth Paltrow.
The Dune Loves Rupert Sanderson collection features Bowie-inspired flats to classic cream court shoes and each style has been made from premium Italian leathers and satin, with a focus on “timeless style and elegance”.
There are six styles in the collaboration, with each shoe named after a daffodil, from pointed scalloped styles, a signature of Sanderson’s, to peep-toe heeled options in cream nude, red and black. There are also a selection of pointed toe court shoes and low block heel shoes.
In addition, a Bowie-inspired star lace-up style is available in two colourways, a vibrant electric blue and metallic red or a more subtle gold and silver, in a sky-high stiletto or a flat sandal.
Complementing the collection of shoes is a scallop and frayed edge satin clutch bag that comes in black, red, nude and grey.
Commenting on the collaboration, Daniel Rubin, Dune London’s executive chairman said: “I have always been a great admirer of Rupert’s ranges. His shoes are always beautifully crafted with great emphasis on shape and cut. Every aspect of his shoes is well balanced and just right. He doesn’t compromise. We have strived to achieve these standards, albeit a different level, at Dune. That’s why I was so excited to collaborate with him on this project.
“Working with Rupert and his team on this range has been a pleasure. His creative talent and passion for getting the detail right has meant that we have a stunning range that has way exceeded my expectations.”
While a pair of Rupert Sanderson heels would normally cost around 495 pounds, the collaboration with Dune starts at 145 pounds for the flats to 185 pounds for the high heel sandals. The clutch bag is 99 pounds.
