Eco-Boudoir's Bamboo Throw keeps you wrapped up warm during the dark days, and they match with their Bamboo Cushions. All are made out of cashmere-like fabric and come in beige, cream and chocolate colours. And who thought environmental sustainable can’t be sexy, think again. Looking at Eco-Boudoir’s pink printed knickers, dressing gowns and naughty hot pants, we wonder why the majority of the fashion industry doesn't look into alternative production solutions.
Jenny White graduated MA Central Saint Martin and is the driving force behind Eco-Boudoir. From day one Eco-Boudoir has worked only with suppliers whose materials and production processes complement the eco-system in which they are produced. In 2006 The Observer nominated the sustainable luxury brand for the Ethical Awards and Design Council Interior Design Awards.
Eco-Boudoir works with vegetable tanned leather, a process that doesn’t pollute the local water or the people working with it. For the production process of their silk, Eco-Boudoir has found alternatives to the normally used harmful chemicals. Other natural friendly fabrics the brand uses are Bamboo, Hemp and Organic Lavender from a small farm in the UK.
To complete the eco-friendly policy of the brand, Eco-Boudoir has a strict waste reduction and office recycling policy, ranging from re-use and re-cycle paper to working with a sustainability consultant. The price points for its products vary from £25 to £325.
