Elton John's White Tie & Tiara Ball

Elton John hosted his annual "White Tie and Tiara Ball" last week at Woodside, his manor house in Windsor, with his partner, producer David Furnish.

The theme of this year's extravaganza was Africa and to prove it, there were real giraffes and zebras as well as faux "gorillas" mingling with the likes of Linda Evangelista in a hot pink strapless gown, Diana Ross in pink-slash-rose number by Bob Mackie, Sharon Stone in a black-and-white Roberto Cavalli with a Thirties feathered headdress, Kate Moss dressed in Dior and Victoria and David Beckham in heaven only knows what. But never mind the clothes; it was the antics of certain gentlemen and ladies who got the most attention.

Liz Hurley, spectacular in sequins and a diamond tiara, was with her boyfriend, Arun Nayar, and flush with the news of winning the part as host of the British reality show about the fashion industry called "Project Catwalk."
