As part of its global Christmas campaign, fashion retailer Esprit is launching a new inter-active window display at their flagship store situated on Regent Street in London. For a limited time of two weeks shoppers will be tempted over to the window to style themselves, choosing from over 50 items from the Esprit winter ranges.

The lifestyle company challenged technology with its new window display. Through advanced facial recognition tools a picture will be taken from the customers to create their personalized onscreen model to which they can add a hairstyle of their choice provided exclusively by designer hairdresser Trevor Sorbie. Customers can then select pieces from Esprit’s collections and dress themselves.

The final look is put together on a model card alongside a list of clothing items, which is then projected in-store so that the customer can go shopping for their favourite pieces. Participating customers will also be able to see their model card by accessing the Esprit mobile site using a special QR code displayed in the store window, which will allow them to share the imagery with friends via Esprit’s Facebook group.

Esprit Holdings Limited generated a worldwide group turnover of around HKD 34.5 billion (as of 30.06.2009), with net profits of around HKD 4,745 million. The share of Esprit Holdings Limited is listed on the Hong Kong stock market. The international group operates over 800 directly managed retail stores worldwide and distributes its products via more than 14,000 wholesale locations around the globe in over 40 countries.
