For two days, trade buyer and consumer show FaCshion played a successful host to emerging fashion at the Old Truman Brewery in East London. The new trade show, where buyers can source new collections and fashionista’s are offered cutting-edge independent fashion, attracted over 1100 visitors, including buyers from the likes of Topshop and Warehouse.

Among the 50 handpicked exhibitors were ethic label TraSsh Bags, kimono jackets by Trout and Pout, sculpted bags were presented by Stephen Harkin and contemporary menswear label Credau showed off their 100% original natural or recycled range. Other event highlights included beauty professionals Dermalogica offering visitors free expert face mapping at their skin bar and iStylista who gave their expertise to all those wanting to try their hand at styling.

The presentation of up and coming design came to a high when models strutted down the catwalk choreographed by the acclaimed Andy Turner (Clothes Show Live). Later in the day guest speakers gave talks about the industry and included Style Insider and entrepreneur Bethanie Lunn, fashion designer and entrepreneur Kal Kaur Rai and founder of DeviDoll.com, Sindhu Venkatanarayanan who discussed the impact of ethical choices in fashion. The next FaCshion is scheduled February 2009.
