Faith Connexion collaborates with Sita Abellan

Faith Connexion has launched its first ever capsule collection, with none other than DJ and Instagram influencer Sita Abellan who boasts 345,000 Instagram followers.

The collaboration was a year in the making ever since Abellan was featured in the Summer 2017 look book with Tommy Genesis, before she went on to DJ at the Silencio club for a Faith Connexion event.

Abellan is known for eclectic style, as well as for being discovered by Rihanna, who featured the young star in her music video for "B Better Have my Money."

The collection was inspired by The Slits song "Typical Girl." “They were such an inspiring unit, delivering music and imagery that was really their own without boundaries,” Abellan said of the band.

The nine piece capsule is a testament to the craftsmanship of Faith Connexion’s in-house ateliers which accompanied Sita throughout the creative process. For example, A biker jacket in metallicized blue calfskin is adorned with 2500 studs, representing over 30 hours of application.

"It was amazing to work on this capsule with Faith Connexion, it felt like I could really express myself without boundaries, I'm very happy about this collaboration," Abellan said.

Abellan's signature shade of electric blue is present throughout the collection, with pieces such as a black mesh-and-tulle robe which feature an electric blue trim. A black silk jumpsuit with multiple zippers features embroidered blue sequins in a zebra pattern.
