Fashion's who's who one-dimensional?

A new edition of the Who's Who list includes the top tier and movers and shakers of the fashion world. The list has been given a makeover, according to The Telegraph, and now includes visionaries such as Muccia Prada, Donatella Versace and British designer of the year, Stella McCartney.

The book sheds little light on their lifestyle, however, as hobbies and activities other than keeping up with the style zeitgeist are either of little interest to the higher echelons of the fashion hierarchy or they are simply not listed. Perhaps the industry's leaders are vacuous when it comes to having a life outside fashion? Entries under Kate Moss and Prada state they both have children, but doesn't offer readers a clue about what they like to do outside of work and being fabulous. Stefano Gabbanna's cv, for example, lists dates of collection launches and store openings. Hardly bedtime reading material.
