Ferragamo at Dover Street Market

Italian fashion house Ferragamo is showcasing an exclusive collection from its archive spanning 80 years at Dover Street Market. The Salvatore Ferragamo Creations represent the pinnacle of a significant fashion legacy. Drawing from an archive of 13,000 designs, the collection features iconic innovative pieces including the “F” wedge sandal and the “Kimo” sandal, inspired by traditional Japanese footwear with interchangeable uppers.

Ferragamo Creations shows shoes originally designed for illustrious, captivating women including the black silk velvet platform sandals created for Ava Gardner; the magnolia suede sandal designed for Evita Peron; the round-toe suede ballerina slipper presented to actress Audrey Hepburn; and the 4-inch pump that Marilyn Monroe wore in “Some Like It Hot”.

The Ferragamo Creation pieces are vintage editions and include limited and numbered series of historic shoes and iconic bags. Each of the styles is created by hand using the original models, leathers and forms. All shoes bear the original Ferragamo label, designed in 1927 by the Futurist Lucio Venna. Ferragamo Creations arrives at Dover Street Market on 19th July.
