Every fashion retailer to have its own TV channel with FashionUnited TV

The European platform for the fashion industry is introducing an in-store communication channel for fashion retailers. In-store communication is an increasingly important instrument employed to stimulate customer purchase behaviour in shops. Thanks to expanding technological possibilities, a unique in-store TV channel is now available to all shops. FashionUnited TV will initially launch in the Netherlands, followed by the service being offered in other countries mid 2005.

This month the first shops will be connected to the TV channel, whereby the individual shops can chose which brands they would like to have displayed. Retailers may also provide their own footage to be included in the programming. By introducing a personal aspect to the program, each shop will be able to display a unique channel that changes with the seasons.

No longer will retailers have to deal with static posters that constantly need to be replaced. Instead ever changing images will inspire the consumer. The channel can even be displayed in the window to liven it up.

The TV channel is user-friendly and does not require any particular expertise. Simply switch on the computer and tv-screens when opening the shop in the mornings and the channel will start up by itself. The contents require just as little effort, because the FashionUnited network can be used to source from.

The costs of a subscription are low compared with 'traditional' in-store communication possibilities. FashionUnited TV guarantees time and cost saving solutions and a dynamic, innovative communication tool for in-store communication, taking into account the individual products being sold. The channel is available to the fashion, sport, shoes and fashion accessories sectors.
