Following its presents in the US since September 2009, Italian active wear Freddy continues its international distribution expansion strategy with its entry into the Korean market. The company inked a new licensing and distribution agreement with the Korean fashion giant ‘In The F Co. Ltd’.

The agreement concerns mens, womens, childrens, sports clothing, accessories and footwear lines within the Freddy label and also includes the Freddy the Club women’s fashion clothing and accessories line. The agreement will last five years and the forecast is for a minimum retail price value of 5 million euro in 3 years.

In The F Co Ltd. is currently the leading Korean international fashion label distributor in the Korean market. With thirty years of experience, the company has planned a series of openings of Freddy corners and shop-in-shops in the most exclusive shopping malls and mono-brand retail outlets in the main cities.

As well as to selling its products in Italy through 1,500 sports shops, 200 sportswear chain retail outlets, selected clothing stores and retail outlets specializing in children’s products, Freddy has also embarked on a course of significant expansion abroad. The company is presently represented by agents and distributors in the main European countries including France, Spain, UK, Russia, Sweden, Greece, Portugal and the Benelux, a total of more than 2,500 retail outlets.

Freddy also signed a distribution and licensing agreement for Japan with the leading Itochu and Descente group, which has led to the opening of 2 flagship-stores and its presence in Japanese department stores and sporting goods retail outlets. In the US, Freddy is stocked in 7 shop-in-shops located in Capezio stores, the historic dancewear brand.
