A free IT and Software Clinic will be hosted by software provider Syscom PLC at the Drapers Fashion Summit on the 18th and 19th of November at The Radisson in Mayfair. As one of the key industry forum for the fashion sector, the clinic attracts influential leaders and business figureheads, allowing fashion brands and retailers to meet with those at the top of the industry to share challenges and develop strategies. Syscom’s IT and Software Clinic will offer an opportunity for delegates to discuss their future business requirements, discover new technologies and see how software can help their business to become more profitable, competitive and efficient.

This year’s summit will focus on how to overcome the effects of the economic downturn and drive business forward, reminding retailers and fashion brands that it is imperative their business is operating as efficiently as possible. “Today’s competitive global market place and the current economic climate makes it more important than ever for businesses to be lean and efficient”, says John Moses, Managing Director of Syscom PLC. “As the growing trend to offshore manufacture creates increasingly complex supply chains, companies are seeking to enhance IT infrastructures to streamline processes and achieve operational excellence on a global scale. Complete visibility is paramount in order to respond effectively to changing conditions, effectively manage supplier relationships, ensure optimum lead times and control the costs of global sourcing.”

At the 8th Annual Drapers Fashion Summit, industry leading speakers will include: Sir Stuart Rose, Chairman Marks & Spencer; Phil Wrigley, Executive Chairman New Look; Miles Gray, CEO Ben Sherman; Nigel Blow, CEO Brown Thomas; Adam Smith, CEO Adili; Simon Rider, Chief Executive Phase Eight; Angela Spindler, Managing Director Debenhams; Colin Temple, Managing Director Schuh; Peter Ruis, Buying Director Fashion John Lewis; Sanjay Sharma, International Director Karen Millen; Martin Morgan, Group Property Director Tie Rack.

As the leading UK partner for Microsoft Dynamics AX – Apparel & Textile, Syscom provides software specifically developed to meet the requirements of companies in the clothing, textile and apparel industries. Equipped with industry functionality, this application can provide the integration, business intelligence and visibility necessary to improve operational efficiency, secure company-wide collaboration and enhance customer service.
