From fashion to arts

Alternative Fashion Week will present Alternative Arts from 20-24th April 2009, which will take place in the new Spitalfields Traders Market in East London. Even though this seems quite far away, the deadline to participate is 24th November 2008. The event provides a platform for innovative young designers to show their works of art to an audience of over 1000 each day. 60 Designers will be selected and offered the opportunity to show their work free of charge. Alternative Fashion Week will provide the runway, live music, publicity, changing rooms and refreshments. Designers solely have to focus on their fashion creation, as AFW also provides the models. When preferred designers have the opportunity to hire a stall for a charge of £25 per day.

Alternative Arts is a publicly funded arts organisation and providea a free programme listing of every designer and their contact number so that they can be reached directly by buyers and the press.
