Glamour magazine awards

Glamour magazine named Kylie Minoque Woman of the Year at its eponymous Glamour Awards. Minogue, who recently celebrated her 41st birthday, was also crowned entrepreneur of the year at the annual event in London on Monday.

Former EastEnders star Michelle Ryan, who won UK actress of the year, arrived at the ceremony in a vibrant pink floor-length gown. I Kissed A Girl singer Katy Perry chose a satin Forties style strapless dress, carrying a red Lulu Guiness lips clutch. The 24-year-old was named newcomer of the year.

The awards, now in their sixth year, are voted for by the magazine's readers and recognise the achievements of women in film, TV and music, theatre, business and literature.
