A collection that is not only high on style, but high on the signature O’Neill quality as well as entertainment. This is the perfect offering for High Winter 2010/11, bringing together a host of elements, styles and colours that not only sit on trend, but offer the wearer the maximum enjoyment in the depths of winter.

Women
In a natural progression from the Winter season, the Spirit of Japan theme continues to be felt within this collection for women for High Winter 2010/11 through ‘Sashiko’. The name for a form of quilting originating from Japan resulting in distinctive patterns, Sashiko represents the way in which various influences, materials, designs and colours have been pieced together in a way unique to O’Neill.

A highlight can be seen within the Patch Jacket (055612). A limited edition snow jacket it not only evokes a feeling of Japanese patchwork with its multitude of materials and designs, but is also the perfect piece for our times as it has been created through selected pieces of left-over fabric that were too gorgeous to let go to waste. As the fabric is limited – so is the jacket.

Mix and match
This patchwork mix and match feeling permeates the entire collection. Within the snow collection it can be found in the Rummage jacket (055608). It is also to be found within the HyperFleece offering in this range. Once again a highlight of the collection and a season necessity the HyperFleece combines style and functionality – protecting from the elements and keeping you warm.

The mix and match story is continued throughout including in the likes of the Kazumi Long Tunic Blouse (055890).

Millefleur
A graphical check pattern has been combined with a small feminine flower – often adding feminine softness to more sporty styles.

An example of this can be found on the Xia SuperFleece (055992). This is one of three SuperFleece styles for this season which offer both cutting edge style, as well as signature O’Neill functionality protecting against the cold.

The Millefleur also appears on a season standout on the Pada Pant legging (055904).

New shapes
A season trend for longer lengths can be found in the sweats such as the Lian sweat (055820) as well as the Ushi knitted dress (055980).

The balloon shape fit in jackets can be found again for high winter in the Curiosity jacket (055604), which also incorporates the signature O’Neill colorblock story into its design.

A new loose fit in the snow pants (055706) also represents the fashion-forward nature of this collection.

Youth girls

Fruitshake
The girls High Winter offering has been designed under the theme of ‘Fruitshake’. This incorporates not only lively colors and actual fruit graphics, but has an overall bright fun summery feel – adapted for the depths of winter in a playful way.

Colors
The new color offering for high Winter 2010/11 is Lapsis Blue – a bright fresh on-trend blue that can be seen in the Fruitshake pants (065720) This has been combined with a Fuchsia – such as in the Fruitshake Jacket (065620).

This bright combination is a signature O’Neill style but also reflects a trend for colour blocking. This can be found in the Fruitshake Jacket (065620). which incorporates the trend for a baseball style jacket, but adapts the look for the snow and a more feminine style.

The frozen fruit allover
The Frozen Fruit Jacket (065622) incorporates the Fruitshake theme into a playful allover. With actual fruit labels adapted into the O’Neill logo along with energetic youthful elements, it is an original hand-drawn allover which is fun and lighthearted - perfect for playing around in the snow.

In the Divine hoodie (065824) the allover has been enhanced with a sparkle, adding a little winter playfulness.

Details
In playful patches in the Fruitshake theme, the O’Neill logo has been adapted into actual fruit labels.

In the hood as well as the lycra wrist cuffs of the Fruitshake jacket (065620) is a small floral print – both on trend and playfully feminine, it adds a subtle detail to the jacket to enhance it.

Shapes
In the Skye top (065816) a trend for longer length tops has been incorporated into the tunic-style top.

Lil'surfer girls
This season the Lil surfer girls have their very own theme of ‘Morning Dew’. Inspired by the frost of a cold winters morning, it is incorporated into the collection in fun detailing and colors signaling the flickering of the sunrise on the frost. In this theme Lapis Blue signals the color of the morning sky, with Fuchsia and Silver adding a brightness.

The sparkling of the sun on the frost is directly translated into sparkling details – used both in full on the Layna top (065868) and in detailing in the Vanilla top (065866). Even the morning birds can be seen on the Dezra top (065864) in an on-trend tunic shape.

For shapes, a three quarter length Amelie pant (065964) makes an appearance this season. As with the whole collection for Lil’ Surfer Girls, in addition to focusing on fashion, the emphasis is on comfort and ease of dressing for the kids. Not only does the length of the pants make it easy for kids to put on their boots, it also features a an elastic waist band for comfort and a hook and eye, so they are easy for kids to do up.

Men
With a team as diverse, talented and eclectic as Team O’Neill taking influence from this was always going to provide a bit of a blend – hence the theme of ‘Blender’ for High Winter 2010/11. It is about taking different elements from all over and making it into one cohesive unit. It is like taking the talents of the French character of Julian Haricot and combining it with the competitive prowess of Seb Toutant, and adding to that the legendary freeriding skills of Jeremy Jones and bringing it into one group – Team O’Neill. That is Blender.

Blending style
One of the ways to interpret Blender in this theme was to take classic and much loved patterns or styles and blend it together with on-trend O’Neill style.

Within the snow styles this has been done in the Blended Jacket (050708) by working with classical design lines and colour blocking and adding fresh colourways. This modern take on colour blocking can also be seen with the Merger Hyperfleece (050755).

In the Blender Longsleeve shirt (053330) a traditional plaid design has been given a stylish twist with fresh on-trend colours – a combination of purple, reds and blues.

Blending functionality
The Commix Fleece (050757) makes this blend by taking a street fashion fleece style and shape and turning into a functional snow garment with high stretch.

On the other side, the Motley Jacket (053312) brings waterproof zippers into a stylish military jacket and the Juicer Superfleece (053308) brings functionality against the elements again into a clean military style.

Prints and colors
Reds, Purples, Blues and Black are the highlight colours for this men’s collection for High Winter 2010/11. They have been mixed in big colour blocking such as in the Frontline Pant (050900). And they have also been mixed within a blend of different prints such as in the Synthesis Jacket (050704) in the snow collection, and also in the MixUp Sweat (053344).

Youth boys

Blender
The theme of ‘Blender’ defines the boys collection for High Winter 2010/11. It is characterized by a ‘blend’ of selected objects along with funky graphics - most clearly demonstrated in the Objects Allover. It features the likes of clocks, headphones and tv’s incorporated into a funky and surfy O’Neill graphic style. It can be seen loudly on the Chopper jacket (060802) but also more subtly on the Topaz sweat (063318)– a reversible sweat where the print can either be on the inside as a detail or the outside as a statement.

Colors
Purple and blue are the new colors for the season – bright and fresh. Color blocking gives a strong retro-feeling such as in the Mixer jacket (060800). And using signature O’Neill Brightness the Chopper jacket (060802) takes the color card and makes it into a loud check.

Playful
The playfulness of the boys can be found in the glow-in-the dark styles. There are two products for boys which both come with an LED light so you can fire it up to glow. Using playful graphics that combine both space and the sea, it is the details which glow-in-the dark such as on the sweat (063312) or the Jaco Long Sleeve Tee (063304)

Groms
Playful animated graphics characterize this collection for High Winter 2010/11. And a bright youthful color of red has been brought in to jazz it up.

The glow-in-the-dark playfulness continues for the groms in the Willow sweat (063360). And it is the small details that stand out in this collection. From fun patches in quirky locations – including a surfer dude hand on the shoulder of the Mist sweat (063362), this collection is definitely one to play around in.

To keep it creative - as little kids are - it also features mixed media such as on the Trey hoodie (063354), where the logo has been made that little bit more entertaining.

Accessories women
Following the resounding success of collection 105, the O'Neill accessories collection is back with a bang this season, armed with a fresh new product line. Compact in size, the new accessories line goes large on coordination by sharing many of the colors and allovers seen in the corresponding lifestyle and performance collections. The result is a really well balanced line in which proven favorites jostle for attention alongside a number of brand new styles.

A great example is the cable beanie and cable scarf, both of which come with a high quality leather label. Just about as on-trend as you can get this season, these two styles are easy to merchandise alongside the apparel collection, and will also fly off the shelves in high season thanks to their heavy warm knit. scarf: 059302 beanie:059288

The Xmas package is another key focus area in the collection. While accessories are relatively easy to sell in the cold season, they're particularly well suited to the festive season thanks to the fact they make the perfect christmas gifts. That's why we've focussed our attention on the creation of 3 different packages featuring varying accessories combinations (wallet & belt, beanie & gloves, beanie & flashlight). These are all super-stylish products, and priced very attractively to make the perfect gift idea. wallet box: 059324 belt box: 059322 beanie box:059320

Last but not least, we've adopted a new eco-approach in our bag collection. If recycling is one of the best ways to be eco-friendly, we believe that re-using materials is without doubt one of the most effective ways for us to do our bit for the environment. To that end, we collected a bunch of different allovers from previous seasons and re-used them in a new combination, as seen in our moving backpack.
