Hot ticket

Partying can be very expensive, especially when done in the name of fashion. The annual Costume Institute ball is an institution in itself. Next year's event will be held in the Metropolitan Museum in New York and will be hosted by fashion bigwig's Anna Wintour, Karl Lagerfeld and actress and Chanel No5 model, Nicole Kidman.

The tickets will cost $5,000 per head, as opposed to a mere $3,500 for the last event. This is a bitter pill to have to swallow for most fashionista's. One fashionista complained that the tickets would only be bought by corporations and cut-throat social climbers. However, the organizers show no mercy. "It's standard to raise prices. And we haven't done it for three years." Clearly this is someone entirely in touch with reality.
