How not to get ripped off
loading...
The University of the Arts London is making sure its students won't be ripped off for their creative ideas. Own it, the Intellectual Property Advice for Creative Business of the University, is hosting the seminar 'How not to get ripped off: Enforcing and protecting your Intellectual Property'. The lecture will offer a basic guide to copyright, patenting, trade marks, licensing and design rights.
With the seminar, own-it wants to prevent its student from being copied for its creative ideas, which can be a major concern once they start to sell, publicise and promote their creative work. Young creatives need to protect their ideas and make sure they know what to do if someone copies or makes money from work that is rightfully theirs.
The copyright event will be held on Wednesday 29 April 2009 from 6:30 to 8:30pm at the London College of Communication.
