Hugo Boss denies acquisition Valentino

Hugo Boss is not planning an acquisition of majority shareholder Valentino Fashion, a spokesperson for the luxury goods company told just-style. "There is no plan as of today," said communications director for Hugo Boss, Phillip Wolff. He stated that the company had never planned on buying Valentino, although he could not say what would happen in the future.

Earlier this month Valentino chairman Antonio Favrin suggested that a merger with Hugo Boss was a possibility in the future, although at present the company preferred to concentrate on developing existing brands.
