Swedish outerwear brand Stutterheim have launched a collaboration with London-based menswear label Band of Outsiders for autumn/winter 2018.
The collaboration first shown at the Band of Outsiders presentation during London Fashion Week Men’s in January, is inspired by the idyllic winter-sports holiday and was showcased by ice-skaters on the Somerset House ice skating rink.
For the collection, Stutterheim has recreated its iconic Stockholm raincoat in three different versions, with the classic navy, red and white coats reworked with a pinstripe pattern in the form of a slope print.
Stutterheim founder and creative director Alexander Stutterheim, said in a press release: “Band Of Outsiders offers a great range of menswear, and we’re happy to be a part of their universe this season. They talk about being a brand for men who don’t take themselves too seriously, something we very much resonate with and think more people should embrace.”
Angelo von Mol, designer Band Of Outsiders, added: “We have been observing Stutterheim for a while now, and have been continuously impressed by the quality of their coats and the way they communicate their values.
“Humour lies at the core of our brand, and even though Stutterheim is most known for their melancholy, there’s an underlying layer of dark humour, which we love. I think our common appreciation for that dimension is one of the reasons why this collaboration feels so natural.”
The Stutterheim x Band Of Outsiders coats will be available from June 2018 in a limited quantity on stutterheim.com, in Stutterheim flagship stores in Stockholm and New York, as well as on bandofoutsiders.com and selected retailers globally.
