Premium high street retailer Whistles has revealed its debut wedding collection featuring seven limited edition pieces “designed for the modern bride”, which will launch in February 2017.

Whistles creative director Nick Passmore, said: “We’ve had so much interest from customers on wedding attire that we felt the time was right to launch a contemporary collection of dresses for the modern bride.

“Whistles Wedding will offer our customer a refined collection from which they can choose something to wear for their big day; from a city wedding right through to a countryside celebration.”

The seven styles include a range of “timeless and yet ‘of the moment’” dresses in various silhouettes from strapless to one-shoulder, as well as a stepped hem and a high neck dress, alongside a lace jumpsuit.

Each piece features fabrics including delicate lace, organza jacquard, embroidered tulle and luxurious silk, and feature internally boned bodices, with each style adorned with “subtle detailing” such as scalloped edges, detachable trains, ruffles, and tied feminine back details.

Commenting on his favourite style, Passmore added: “The lace jumpsuit is my particular favourite; it will take you seamlessly from ceremony to wedding party. These are precious dresses, suitably special enough to celebrate the big day, yet won’t blow the honeymoon budget.”

Prices will range from 499 to 699 pounds and will be exclusively available online at Whistles.com and from the brand’s flagship shop on St Christopher's Place in London, where brides will be able to book private bridal appointments with their bridesmaids.

Over the past few years the high street has been getting wedding fever, with brands including Asos, H&M, and Missguided launching affordable bridalwear collections.
