This year’s Texprint First View Exhibition received great support from the Fashion Industry. The exhibition was led by Harold Tillman, Chairman of Jaeger and the British Fashion Council / London Fashion Week. Other supporters included representatives from Louis Vuitton, MaxMara, Roland Mouret, Paul Smith, Issa London and Catherine Walker, all there to seek out the next top designers.

Diane von Furstenberg chaired the jury for the second year of the Print Award and she was joined by Roland Mouret – Breaking New Ground, Nathan Jenden - Colour, Angela Swan (The Worshipful Company of Weavers) – Weave, Bryan Dicker (Holland & Sherry) – Interior Fashion and Anne Marie Fuzzi (Fuzzi) – Knit.

“I have become a Texprint sponsor because there’s nothing like it anywhere else in the world. It uniquely recognises that the fabric designer provides the foundation on which the rest of the stuff is built,” said Diane von Furstenberg.

The winners are amongst 24 selected graduates who represent the best new textile designers entering the market place and who have been selected by panels of professional designers from over 200 applicants, which represent the best from each University. All 24 designers will show their work at Indigo, part of the Paris Première Vision fabric fair in September, where Sir Paul Smith will present the six Texprint prizes on 24th September. The 6 prize winners are then transported to Hong Kong to take part in Interstoff Asia Essential Exhibition in October. The prize winners are: Hannah Jefferies for the Print prize; Helen Stark was considered most ground breaking; Eleanor Feddon took home the colour prize, the knit prize went to Ella Jade, the interior fashion prize was won by Victoria Sheperd and Elizabeth Jones was rewarded with the weave prize.
