Coinciding with New York and London Fashion Week, IQONS Magazine launched in partnership with Hair Care Brand Sebastian Professional. IQONS.com, the fashion focused social networking site and hair care brand Sebastian Professional launched the first issue of IQONS Magazine at The  Box in New York. The evening included a performance by UK designers Rodnik. IQONS co-founder and creative director Rafael Jimenez commented: “Online we try to differentiate our network by connecting the best emerging creative talent with the people and brands who have established themselves as icons. The magazine reflects the very best of those conversations and self expressions. Sebastian Professional's editorial, which feautred breakthrough fashion hairstylists from IQONS in the center of the issue, is for us an ideal representation of everything we aim to do online and in print. Their willingness to embrace new concepts in fashion has been key to every aspect of this magazine.”

The London based design team also IQONS members Rodnik, has previously performed their fashion themed concerts at Barneys New York and Comme des Garcons Tokyo, showcased designs from their Fall/Winter 2008 collection. The designs were matched by bold hairstyles from the Sebastian team, and were shown in front of an audience which included Vogue editor Andre Leon Talley, IQONS Magazine editor-in-chief and blogger Diane Pernet. For IQONS Magazine Issue Zero, members were challenged to submit contributions within a strict 10-day timeframe. The submission period ended after only four days, when IQONS was overwhelmed with responses. Pushing the fusion of web and print communication further, all content in the issue was pulled together in three weeks to ensure a feeling similar to the rapid pace of the web.

Within one year of its launch, IQONS has connected emerging talent in fashion with iconic fashion figures such as Dior creative director John Galliano and Vogue Italia fashion editor Franca Sozzani. Including fashion talent such as Marios Schwab, Sandra Backlund and Jean-Pierre Braganza among its members, the network is home to thousands of designers, artists, and media in diverse areas of fashion.
