Manchester-based online retailer ISawItFirst has announced that they are this year’s fashion partner for the hotly anticipated fifth series of TV show Love Island, following in the footsteps of Misguided who worked with the reality television smash last year.
ISawItFirst will be proving the female ‘Islanders’ with a whole new wardrobe, which will be waiting for them inside the new luxury Love Island villa in Mallorca, dressing them to “look on point from poolside to fire pit,” stated the brand.
In addition, the online retailer will be dressing the female contestants looking for love on their dates outside of the villa, as well as the iconic party episode, where all the islanders dress to a certain theme, and audiences will be able to shop the looks directly through the official Love Island app.
Commenting on the partnership, Leanne Holmes, brand director at ISawItFirst said in a statement: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be partnering with Love Island this year. The Love Island brand resonates with our customer, so we can’t wait to see where this partnership takes the brand.
“We are all avid watchers of the show and to be a part of it this year is an incredible achievement for us as a brand. The ISawItFirst girl’s style aligns perfectly with that of Love Island and we’re so excited to see how this year’s Islanders style the exclusive Love Island Fashion Collection by ISawItFirst.”
Love Island has been known to boost brand sales, last year Missguided stated that the reality show boosted sales by 40 percent compared with the eight weeks prior to when the show started airing, and some items worn by popular contestants saw a 300 to 500 percent spike in sales. In total, during the Love Island run in 2018, Missguided reported that 18 percent of its sales came from product that was either worn by the Islanders, or similar looks the brand called ‘style steals’.
ITV and ISawItFirst have not disclose the financial terms of the partnership.
Love Island returns to British TV on June 3.
