Italian and UK jewellery gems

Launching this autumn, the Italian Jewellery Awards (IJA) is looking for the best young jewellery designers who have yet not turned 45. The lucky ones must have professional design experience autonomously or in industrial production focussing on research and experimentation. The Italian finalists for 2008 are Massimiliano Bonoli, Fabio Cammarata, Carla Della Corte, Stefano Marchetti and Panteha Tassi.

Teaming up with Britain’s Spring Fair, IJA also zooms in on UK talent and selected the most promising designers for this year. The nominees are Sarah Ho, Anthony Roussel, Marisa Horden, Ornella Iannuzzi and Zinzi Coetzee.

Other categories of the Jewellery Awards include best professional designer, most innovative Italian flagship store, and best jewel made by Campania jewellery and goldsmith producers.

The Italian Jewellery Award are taking place in Amalfi, Italy.
