Fashion design and dance in the mix isn't unknown theme within the fashion industry. Luca Missoni designed for dance group Aeros, a group of Olympic gymnasts-turned-dancers. Now for AW09, dance and fitness wear label Freddy is bringing the ‘Art of Movement to the High Street’. The Italian company is launching an exclusive capsule collection for Topshop.

Freddy combines Topshop's on trend fashion with modern sports apparel. The seven piece collection features fashion ‘trans seasonal’ separates which can be dressed up or down to fit in with this season sports luxe trends. A varied and innovative use of fabrics is one of Freddy's trademarks. The collection features soft chenille and jersey cut to flatter the body, which is enhanced with subtle detailing. The collections colour palette is produced in washed tones and specialised colour treatments of slate grey, fuchsia and mauves tones.

Freddy has over 33 years of experience in designing fashion, dance and fitness wear and the official apparel suppliers to the Royal Ballet, La Scala and also the Italian Olympic team. This is the debut of the collaboration with the second drop of product due in January 2010.

Available from September at Topshop stores nationwide and online from £35-£45. The range will also be stocked in The New York Topshop store on Broadway and Broome.
