Jaeger is reviewing its concession agreements with House of Fraser as part of its move to re-establish the brand as "the premier British label."

The brand, which was bought by BMB chairman Harold Tillman earlier this year, also plans to launch a men's footwear collection next autumn and to expand into other product areas.

It is understood that HoF was reviewing Jaeger's future in its refurbished stores as the brand's return to its classic roots does not fit HoF's more contemporary customer profile in some larger city locations. Jaeger's managing director Anthony Stanbury told Ase Anderson: "We are looking very carefully at our concession policy. In most cases we want to have our own stores in the towns we operate in."

Jaeger has chosen English model Laura Bailey to be the face of the brand and an image of her dominates the front of Jaeger's store in Brompton Road, London.
