France’s renowned designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac made the characters of South Park the key figures of his new JC/DC line. It is for the second time the artisan fashion designer selected the animation to be the music icons of 'Holly Boys and Naughty Girls'.

South Park’s satirical themes by Jean-Charles de Castelbajac and Nickelodeon Consumer Products International (NCPI) will be stocked in markets such as France, Italy, Germany, Russia, UK and US. The collaboration for summer/autumn 2010 men's and women's comprises T-shirts, tops, sweatshirts and leggings. The range will be also available at de Castelbajac’s boutiques in London, Paris and Ukraine.

On the collaboration Jean-Charles de Castelbajac commented: "I discovered South Park and Nirvana at the same time. I would mute my TV to play "Smells Like Teen Spirit" loud. The fusion of his collection called the two made perfect sense to me," commented de Castelbajac. "My JC/DC line is about rock and roll and South Park - with its irreverent story lines, quirky characters, its colourful range, brutality and noisy drawing – encapsulates the world I want to portray.”

Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, also known as JC/DC, has enjoyed international success with his eccentric and cutting edge creations. His fashion archive was showcased in preparation for his retrospective "Gallierock" in Paris by photographers Tim and Barry, modelled by Cassette Playa, M.I.A., Jammer, Matthew Stone, Slew Dem Crew and more recently, JC de Castelbajac has been working closely with performers such as Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Beth Ditto, MIA and Ebony Bones.

South Park is created by comic geniuses Trey Parker and Matt Stone, and took home the Emmy and Peabody Award. Now in its 14th season, South Park is broadcasted all around the world in 149 countries and more than 50 languages.

The new JC/DC collection for both men and women will launch into shops around the world from July 2010.
