Designer jeans website Donna Ida is teaming up with several celebrities to raise money for charity Jeans for Genes. The charity provides care for children and families who are affected by genetic disorders. They fund ongoing research into the causes and cures for these disorders.

For the project Holly Willoughby, Little Boots, Florence Welch, Peaches Geldof, Alexandra Burke, Geri Halliwell, Jameela Jamil, Marco Pierre White and Lisa Snowdon have customised and signed a pair of jeans that will be auctioned off online. The jeans, which include Stella McCartney, J Brand, and Sass & Bide will start of at an auction price of £300 at 12 noon for one day only on the 22nd January, but then will go down £5 every minute. The first person that buys them as the price drops down will own their celebrity-customised jeans.

On the initiative Donna Ida comments: “Jeans for Genes is fantastic charity that does important work in the field of genetic research. Using fashion as a platform for raising awareness always works; I think anyone who has a voice should try and use it to help causes like Jeans for Genes.”
