UK department store John Lewis has launched its largest fashion collaboration to date, partnering with British brand Rixo to bring an exclusive collection to all 30 full-line John Lewis stores nationwide and online. The 44-piece collection continues the commitment of John Lewis to support British design talent while bolstering its premium brand portfolio.

While Rixo has cultivated a global following since its founding in 2015, the brick and mortar presence of the UK label has historically been concentrated in standalone boutique locations in London and Bicester. Through this collaboration, customers across the UK will have direct physical access to try on iconic RIXO styles in John Lewis stores across England, Scotland and Wales.

John Lewis fashion director Rachel Morgans said: “I’ve loved RIXO for years, so making this our biggest collaboration yet and bringing it to our customers across the country is personally so exciting for me. Their pieces have this wonderful, vibrant energy and multigenerational appeal that people genuinely connect with, and incorporating our exclusive 1849 floral motif from the John Lewis Partnership Archive makes it feel even more special. By stocking the collaboration in all of our full line shops, we’re giving customers nationwide the chance to touch, feel, and try on these special pieces in person.”

Designed to blend the vintage style of Rixo with the focus of John Lewis on quality, the collection includes dresses, knitwear, blouses, jackets, skirts, shoes and accessories. Prices range from 65 pounds to 525 pounds.

Celebrating design heritage, the collection features an exclusive floral motif inspired by a block-printed textile from 1849, selected from The John Lewis Partnership Archive during the collaborative design process. This marks the first time an archive print has been used in a fashion collaboration for John Lewis. The signature print features across two dresses, a blouse, a skirt and a scarf.

The launch adds to the growing choices for customers of John Lewis both in-store and online. Earlier this month, the retailer introduced an exclusive menswear collection with UK tailor Clothsurgeon, designed to blend British heritage tailoring with contemporary urban style. The 32-piece collection of tailoring, outerwear, knitwear, denim, jersey and accessories is available online and in five John Lewis stores.

Rixo co-founder Orlagh McCloskey added: “We feel incredibly proud to have created something that reaches a wider audience than our London stores. This collaboration feels like a true extension of RIXO – taking the heritage of John Lewis, leaning into its incredible archive, and bringing it to life with that RIXO magic.”

McCloskey noted that a collaboration should feel as strong as anything created before, with every piece considered and every detail cared for. “We wanted the collection to do the talking,” McCloskey said. “We can’t wait to see women across the UK, whether they’re longtime RIXO lovers or discovering us for the first time through John Lewis, style it in their own way and make it theirs.”
