Department store chain John Lewis has collaborated with British couture designer Bruce Oldfield on a 60-piece women’s ready-to-wear collection, which will launch in September.
The capsule line will mark Oldfield’s first ever high street range and will feature tailored workwear, faux-fur trim and jacquard coats, wide-leg and skinny trousers, lace tops, and velvet and silk dresses, with prices ranging from 59 to 299 pounds.
The collaboration follows on from the success of John Lewis’s line with Alice Temperley and will be called Bruce by Bruce Oldfield. It will launch into nine shops, including its flagship Oxford Street store, as well as online from September 4.
Commenting on the collaboration, Oldfield said: “I have spent the past 40 years building my own couture line and I am thrilled to announce my first high street collaboration with John Lewis.
"Bruce by Bruce Oldfield draws on my classic silhouettes with key pieces for any modern woman's wardrobe; classic outerwear, juxtaposed tailoring, and sumptuous eveningwear. The collection plays on a monochromatic palette, full of structure and texture and that is softened with a touch of cashmere.”
