British lifestyle brand Joules has joined forces with the Prince's Trust in order to support the charity's youth Enterprise Programme in Leicestershire.

The Enterprise Programme works together with young, unemployed individuals between the age of 18 and 30 in the Leicestershire are, to help transform their ideas into business realities. The Prince's Trust offers youth a wide range of support, from training and mentoring to funding and locating resources, every step of the way to ensure their business ideas are viable, and whether self-employment is right for them.

Each participant which takes part in the Enterprise Programme is matched to an experienced business mentor for 12 to 24 months, who will help them hone their skills, advise them on strategy, finance and other considerations they need to take into account, whilst offering them support the entire journey. Leicestershire-based Joules is set to undertake numerous fundraising initiatives throughout the year to raise money for the Prince's Trust.

"Joules itself was an entrepreneurial business, created right here in Leicestershire – it’s an example of how a good idea, when nurtured, can grow into a successful international business," said Colin Porter, Joules CEO. "We’re delighted to be working with The Prince’s Trust to help some of Leicestershire’s young entrepreneurs realise their talent and bring their ideas to life."

In addition, all proceeds from Scotland and Wales's carrier bag tax, which went into effect in 2014 and 2011 respectively, will be donated - which to date totals 3,051.5 pounds. "Our Enterprise programme has provided a lifeline to thousands of young people, helping them to get their lives on track and realise their potential as entrepreneurs," said John O’Reilly, Director for The Prince’s Trust in Central England in a statement.

"We are delighted to work alongside Joules to provide more young people with the tools they need to create a better future for themselves."
