Last season, Egyptian luxury brand Azza Fahmy teamed up with British fashion designer Julien Macdonald. The duo designed a bespoke jewellery collection for Macdonald’s AW07 collection, and collaborated again this season for London Fashion Week. Jewellery shop, Kabiri exclusively stocks the collaboration collection at their Marylebone High Street store in London.
Since its interception in 1969, Azza Fahmy Jewellery has won international recognition as a leading design name in the Middle East. Originally from an Interior Design background, Fahmy began a career in jewellery after becoming fascinated by the trade. She was the first woman to train with masters in the jewellery quarter in Khan El Khalili and was awarded a fellowship to study jewellery in London by the British Council in the mid-1970. Fahmy returned to Cairo to set up her own workshops. By 1981 Fahmy opened her first store, which has now increased to four, and her collection is stocked worldwide.
Kabiri has re-launched their website and is offering its regular customers a 15% discount until 21st March.
