Koshino relaunches in Europe

Japanese designer Hiroko Koshino has found her way back to Europe and showed her creations for the first time since 15 years on the Parisian catwalk. The 71-year old designer has returned to Europe to break into the market and sees the current recession as an opportunity to flourish real creativity. Influenced by both her native country and the Western world, her AW09 collection includes kimono inspired shapes, traditional obi cuts, handpainted cocoon dresses and ball gowns decorated with Japanese black prints.
