From 9th June to 16th December 2009, WRAP Asia and SGS will host a series of seminars on labour and environmental compliance in five cities of China. WRAP is an independent and international NGO dedicated to certifying facilities that engaged in lawful, humane and ethical operations. SGS is the world’s largest and leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company.
The labour and environmental seminars are focused on how to establish and maintain a facility-based labour and environmental compliance program to satisfy buyer requirements. All seminars will cover an overview of WRAP background and principles, the process of WRAP certification, best practices of corporate social responsibility, and an overview of relevant local laws and regulations. Technical and quality managers, internal auditors, personnel whom handle customer audits, certification body auditors and other interested parties are among the invitees.
The first seminar will be in Nanjing on June 9th and later take place in Shenzhen, Ningbo, Suzhou and Hangzhou. A SGS Project Leader and a WRAP Representative will instruct the seminars.
