Lacoste has announced a new collaboration with three Olympic athletes who will serve as ambassadors for the brand: Ashleigh Johnson, Ruth Mwandumba, and Marcel Nguyen. By committing to a partnership until 2025, the brand is showing its connection and support for the Olympics and Paralympics, the brand said.

The 28-year-old Ashleigh Johnson is considered by some to be the best water polo goalkeeper worldwide. A three-time World Champion and a two-time Olympic Gold Medalist, she is currently training for the Paris Olympics in 2024.

“I’m excited and honored to partner with Lacoste. As I train for the upcoming Paris Olympics, teaming up with a global, iconic brand with French roots couldn’t be more perfect,” Johnson said in a statement.

Ruth Mwandumba, 25 years old, is considered by many as Britain’s best shooter, and an advocate for diversity and inclusion within sports. “It’s an honour to be connected to one of the world’s most renowned fashion brands for sporty clothing,” she said.

Lastly, 35-year-old German gymnast Marcel Nguyen was the Olympic runner-up in 2012 in the all-around and parallel bars as well as in 2016 in Rio. As he introduced a new movement during a competition, he earned a permanent association with the parallel bars and will transmit his legacy to future generations. He said he hopes to inspire people to love Lacoste the same way he does.
