London - Red carpet designer Christian Siriano is teaming up with plus-size retailer Lane Bryant on a limited-edition ready-to-wear collection, following in the footsteps of designers Isabel Toledo, Sophie Theallet and Lela Rose, who have all launched successful collaborations with the retailer.

Set to hit stores for spring 2016, the collection will be sold under the Christian Siriano for Lane Bryant label, and will mark the retailer’s fourth designer collaboration.

No details have been made about the collection itself, how many pieces or the style, but Siriano did hint on what to expect from his first collaboration with the plus-size retailer: "In my opinion, fashion should never be defined by size. Regardless if it's for red carpet or a day at the office, every woman should feel stylish and comfortable in their clothes.

“I'm excited about this partnership with Lane Bryant because it allows me the opportunity to showcase my designs on the everyday woman and allow them the opportunity to feel as beautiful and fashionable as possible."

Linda Heasley, CEO of Lane Bryant, added: "Christian Siriano is a real star, from his highly publicised debut on television, his millions of social followers and through the years as he has successfully designed and shown his own beautiful ready to wear clothes worn by some of the best known celebrities, he has proved his talent on the world fashion stage.

“It's a delight to welcome him to Lane Bryant and to be able to offer his exclusive designs for us beginning in the spring of 2016.”
