This summer will see the launch of a brand new trade show called The Tender. During Accessories Market Week, the trade show will debut in NYC on August 3rd. Tender is organised by FFPAPF – the European organisation and owner of Prêt-a-Porter Paris, Atmosphere and The Box. The Tender promises to join the ranks of The Train and Platform 2 fashion trade shows.

“Our goal is to export to the U.S. our unique brand of trade show, featuring the best collections in an artistic and beautiful environment, and to continue the collaboration between the French and American fashion communities,” said Mr. Jean-Pierre Mocho, Chairman, FFPAPF and Prêt-a-Porter Paris. “Therefore, we are adding an accessories show, a market were we are already present in Paris with The Box.”

The Tender will showcase a selection of affordable upcoming and directional women’s accessories. More high-end accessories is reserved for The Train. It will follow the strategy of its sister shows, launching with a small group of selective collections and building from there. The show expects to start with approximately 40 collections, including handbags, jewellery, scarves, belts, hats, gloves, watches and more.

The new trade show will be held in a permanent space called La Venue, which is based in Platform at Terminal Stores. The venue is a former train station featuring typical early 20th century architecture. The Tender will be held regularly during Market Weeks, in January, May and August.
