Laura Ashley Fairtrade T’s

Laura Ashley will launch a new t-shirt collection for Fairtrade. The range will be available in a selection of bold bright colours in two styles made from Fairtrade cotton sourced from Cameroon via the Fairtrade organisation.

Due to changing market prices, farmers often don’t earn enough to feed their families. Fairtrade gives around 60.000 people in Cameroon a set price plus family spends. In 2007/08, 75 water wells, 65 classrooms and 23 health centres were invested in as a direct sales result from Fairtrade cotton.
