LeJu jewellery for Ascension

Jewellery label LeJu designed a whole new range for Ascension, formerly known as Adili. The new range follows the success of the previous line. Bright chunky bangles and flowing ribbon-tie necklaces feature LeJu’s signature sculpted vegetable ivory with touches of sterling silver and semi-precious stones.
LeJu specialise in the use of the special Amazonian seed known as vegetable ivory. The seed is harvested from a rain forest palm tree species called Hyphaene Phytelephas. Resembling elephant ivory in both colour and hardness, vegetable ivory is the only 100% sustainable alternative. The pieces are designed by Lenny Trines, LeJu’s head designer, and the colours are created by staining and dying it with natural plant extracts and oils.
LeJu is headquartered in London and runs their own fair trade production in South America. The jewellery is finished in their London workshop. LeJu’s Spring/Summer collection will be presented during London Fashion Week this September.
