Moving from Paris to London for the anniversary celebrations, Antonio Berardi returned after almost a decade away.

"It's so nerve-wracking showing in London," the designer told WGSN backstage. "The pressure is really on - it's like playing to a home crowd. This season I was looking at samurais for the quiet power they embody, which I wanted to translate for my women. Power is important to my vision for women - it's part of my Sicilian heritage, my family is full of strong women."

His signature tailoring was as strict and as sleek as ever for a series of skirts with structured peplums and panelled shifts. Corset-waist trousers and bra-cupped bustier dresses borrowed from boudoir styling, while soft wrap kimono jackets hinted at that samurai inspiration. Subtle sporty references could also be spotted - a key theme from London this season, such as the cobalt and grey contoured body-con dress or black bolero jacket with sneaker-style lacing, the dangling aglets creating a sporty fringe.
