Mark Eley and Wakako Kishimoto, the duo behind Eley Kishimoto have been a London Fashion Week fixture since the mid-90s. Known for their masterful prints, their bright designs are showcased on simple shapes stocked everywhere from Liberty to Maria Luisa.
Never ones to limit themselves to fashion, they have brought their style to everything from cars to buildings, including the hot Parisian label Cacharel. "Eclectic and pure."
Their eclectic approach to design was evident in their Autumn/Winter, with a collection that romped through heritage British tweeds, playful rabbit prints, harlequin checks and riotous colour mixes. Add girly ruffles, 70s spoon-shaped collars, colour-blocking and dressmaker details like covered buttons and you have a wonderfully eccentric Eley Kishimoto mix.
What's new? The duo are jampacked. The new Artistic Directors of Cacharel, their working on their debut collection for the French brand, as well as a Somerset House Exhibition, a jewellery and bag line, motorcycle helmets and a collaboration with Globe Trotter collaboration.
