On February 15th, French fashion house Louis Vuitton will be debuting the brand’s first TV and cinema commercial in France. The luxury label known for featuring high profile celebrities to promote Louis Vuitton's collections and core values. With the commercial, the brand is moving away from its glossy printed advertisement and looking to zoom in on its traditional travel heritage.

In the 90 seconds commercial, Louis Vuitton's background in luxurious travel goods should speak through the sounds of a guitar soundtrack by Gustavo Santaolalla and move the viewer via the silver screen. Gustavo Santaolall established his name with the movie Brokeback Mountain.

The ad is the brainchild of creative agency Ogilvy & Mather, the same agency that composed the Louis Vuitton’s virtual campaign with Mikhail Gorbachev and Catherine Deneuve. The TV commercial is directed by Bruno Aveillan and will be translated in thirteen different languages.
