Following the confirmation last week that Marks and Spencer would be partnering with Ocado for a food delivery service, it has emerged that the joint venture could branch out into fashion deliveries as well.

Marks and Spencer CEO Steve Rowe has reportedly told The Telegraph that the new partnership could offer an opportunity for intimates to be delivered alongside groceries. While Ocado’s warehouses are not currently set up to deliver clothing, Rowe told The Telegraph that they stocked items such as Pretty Polly tights and knickers, meaning there was “potential to do something quite quickly”.

Last week, Marks and Spencer and Ocado confirmed the joint venture that would see the UK retailer offering a home delivery service for the first time.

The deal, which involves Marks and Spencer buying a 50 percent share of Ocado's retail business for 750 million pounds, will begin trading in September 2020, when Ocado’s deal to supply Waitrose products expires.
