Marcelo Burlon cancels presentation

New York - Marcelo Burlon has announced that he will be cancelling his presentation scheduled to take place Saturday during Milan Fashion Week for his brand County of Milan. Burlon now joins the ranks of designers like Misha Nonoo, Tom Ford, and Burberry who are taking the digital approach to unveiling their latest collections.
Instead of hosting the traditional runway show, the designer will shoot a lookbook and video that will be sent to editors and shared on social media. A large part of his women's collection was already presented with his men's collection at his runway show last January, so there is only so much that the media and public are missing.
Starting in June, County of Milan will also begin showing their men's wear line with their women's wear line, eliminating the approach of doing two separate runway shows or presentations. Burlon told WWD the company will continue to use social media as a fundamental communication tool.
