One of the leading players in they eyewear industry, the Marcolin Group announced the license agreements for the production and worldwide distribution of sunglasses prescription frames under brands Tod’s and Hogan. The agreements mark the debut in the eyewear market for both brands. The launch of the first collections is planned for Spring/Summer 2010. The distribution will be focused on the flagships and selected multi brand stores as well as high-end accounts and department stores worldwide.

The Tod’s Eyewear collection will be positioned in the luxury segment, offering styles for both men and women that reflect the brand’s philosophy of Italian luxury, outstanding quality and craftsmanship. The Hogan Eyewear collection will feature a younger, dynamic and more International style. The 5-year licensing agreements are both consistent with Marcolin’s brand portfolio.

In 2007, Marcolin produced and distributed an estimate of 5.5 million eyeglass frames and sunglasses in more than 600 styles. Its licensed brand portfolio includes Tom Ford Eyewear, Roberto Cavalli Eyewear, John Galliano Eyewear, DSquared2 Eyewear, Montblanc Eyewear to name but a few. The Group’s own brands include Marcolin and Cébé.
